NHSC, Inc. Joins GZA

NORWOOD MA and NEWMARKET NH…ISSUED JULY 9, 2009… GZA GeoEnvironmental Inc., one of the area’s leading environmental and geotechnical consulting firms, recently announced that the Newmarket NH-based NHSC, Inc. has joined the GZA Team. NHSC brings experienced professional scientists to GZA with skills in land resource management, wetland and soil inventory, water resource management, subsurface sewage disposal and environmental site assessments. 
They have served as environmental consultants in the Northeast for more than 20 years and currently have offices in Newmarket and Alton, New Hampshire as well as Columbus, Ohio - all of which will stay in place. MORE>>
Vision Environmental, Inc. Joins GZA

 NORWOOD MA and WALLED LAKE, MI…ISSUED NOVEMBER 17, 2008… GZA GeoEnvironmental Inc., one of the area’s leading environmental and geotechnical consulting firms, recently announced that Vision Environmental, Inc. (VEI) of Walled Lake, Michigan has joined the company and significantly expanded GZA's capabilities. VEI will add air quality, permitting, regulatory compliance and below-ground environmental assessment capabilities to GZA's Great Lakes operations. Anders J. Bjarngard, P.E. of GZA and Edward Hughes of MA DCR's Office of Dam Safety will be presenting a paper entitled "Thirteen Bad Apples and What Massachusetts is Doing with Them" which focuses on the Commonwealth of Massachusetts' recent enforcement actions dealing with Unsafe Dams.
Peter J. Baril, P.E. of GZA and Tiffany Tran of the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA) will be presenting a paper entitled "More Capacity Please! Improvements to Boston's Historic Wachusett Reservoir Dam". The presentation highlights the recent design and remedial construction of a new automated crest gate at the spillway to Wachusett Dam.
