PROVIDENCE, RI…ISSUED APRIL 2, 2015… GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc., a leading environmental and geotechnical consulting firm, announces that Stephen Andrus of Westerly, Rhode Island has been promoted to Senior Project Manager in the Providence office.
Andrus joined GZA more than 10 years ago. He holds a B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Rhode Island and an A.S. in Mathematics from Johnson State College.
Andrus is a Rhode Island Class III Onsite Wastewater Treatment System Designer and a Professional Engineer in Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut; his areas of specialty include construction management, onsite wastewater treatment system design and inspection, landfill design and closure, wind turbines site development and environmental remediation.
In addition to his work with GZA, Andrus has volunteered as a technical advisor for Engineers for a Sustainable World at the University of Rhode Island. As part of this effort, Andrus traveled to rural Guatemala with students in 2012, 2013 and 2014 to assist the local population with the development of onsite wastewater treatment systems.
