GZA Names David Winslow, Ph.D., P.G. as District Office Manager

FAIRFIELD, NJ AND AND NORWOOD MA, ISSUED, February 21, 2012… GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc., a leading environmental and geotechnical consulting firm, has announced that David M. Winslow, Ph.D., P.G. has been named as District Office Manager of the firm’s Northern New Jersey office.

Dr. Winslow joined GZA in 2004 as a Senior Project Manager. He is currently a Vice President in the Northern New Jersey office where his main service sector is providing environmental consulting services for real estate acquisitions and development projects, including environmental due diligence, contaminated soil and groundwater investigations, contaminated soils management/transportation and disposal, remedial design, and remediation. He has provided consulting services on Brownfield projects in the metropolitan New York area, the Hudson Valley, Upstate New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania. Winslow is also Principal In-Charge for many public sector clients including the New York City School Construction Authority, Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, and the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York..  He also manages utility and energy sector projects..

As District Office Manager of the Northern New Jersey office, located in Fairfield, he leads a staff of 25 on diverse environmental consulting/engineering, asbestos/lead/hazardous materials consulting, environmental health and safety, and geotechnical engineering projects.
Dr. Winslow graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in Geological Sciences from Binghamton University, State University of New York. He has a Master of Science degree in Geological Sciences from Virginia Tech and a Doctorate from Lehigh University. He is a frequent public speaker and has presented papers at the National Groundwater Association, the Geological Society of America, the American Society of Civil Engineers, and the New York State Economic Development Council. Dr. Winslow serves on the Program Committee for both the New York City and New Jersey chapters of the Urban Land Institute.
