Senior Health and Safety/Industrial Hygiene Consultant

GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (GZA) is currently seeking a Senior Health & Safety/Industrial Hygiene Consultant in our Norwood, Massachusetts office. This position will be responsible for providing a broad range of Industrial Hygiene and Occupational Safety assistance to GZA clients across a wide range of client sectors. The qualified candidate must have strong leadership and project management experience and direct business development experience during their careers, with the ability to generate project leads and build client relationships.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a science, health, or related technical field (Master’s Degree a plus)
• 10+ years of relevant experience and knowledge of applicable laws and regulations throughout the New England area
• Certified Industrial Hygienist, Certified Safety Professional, or other similar credential is required
• Ability to complete tasks independently and within a team
• Demonstrate professional judgment, consistency, and strong attention to detail
• Demonstrate performance of analysis, problem solving and strong organizational skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Experience preparing reports that demonstrate technical knowledge
• Strong interest in safety
• Possess or have completed 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training is preferred.
• Project management experience in the following regulatory program areas is required:
o H&S Policies, Programs, Procedures
o Incident Reporting, Root Cause Analysis
o OSHA Compliance, Safety Audits, Inspections
o Due Diligence, Risk Reduction
o H&S Training (General Industry & Construction)
o Industrial Hygiene, Exposure Monitoring
o Medical Surveillance
o General Safety, Physical Hazard Controls
o Indoor Air Quality, Mold
o Building Hazard Evaluation
o Construction Safety
o Emergency Preparedness and Response
o Confined Space Entry
o HAZWOPER
