RECOVERY AND REBUILDING - FEMA Public Assistance and Grant Application Support

Securing critical funding for disaster support activities – for post-disaster repair, restoration or hazard mitigation – is becoming increasingly important as the United States grapples with long-term consequences of climate change and sea level rise.  Major funding sources include the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Disaster Relief Fund (DRF); Flood Mitigation Assistance grants (FMA); and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG).

GZA’s Natural Hazard Risk Management and Resilience group works with eligible applicants, including states, municipalities, non-profit institutions and local agencies to evaluate grant and public assistance opportunities. GZA has considerable experience helping clients prepare successful grant applications.  Services include:

  • Funding Opportunity Audit
  • Regulatory Compliance Reviews
  • Damage Assessment and Documentation
  • Debris Estimation (Non-contaminated and contaminated)
  • Repair and Replace Cost Estimation
  • Benefit-Cost Analysis (BCA)
