Blaine J. Rothauser

Mr. Rothauser specializes in Threatened and Endangered (T&E) species analysis and environmental impact studies. He is professional conservation biologist with over 26 years of experience in conservation management of natural resources. He is well versed in the compliance and permitting regulations of the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protections (NJDEP) Wetland, Floodplain, CAFRA, Water Quality Management, Highland, and Pineland Protection Act Rules.

Lauren Koch Schoenemann, LSRP

Ms. Schoenemann is a Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) with more than 10 years of experience in the environmental consulting field. She has conducted Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, hazardous materials surveys, site/remedial investigations, and remediation projects for clients in the educational, health care, manufacturing, and commercial industries. Ms. Schoenemann is well-versed in the regulatory requirements for environmental projects throughout the metropolitan area, and she has worked on some of the office’s largest environmental projects.

Gina L. Gulseth, P.E.

Ms. Gulseth is a Senior Environmental and Geotechnical Engineer with experience in environmental investigation and complex issues related to site remediation and redevelopment.  Ms. Gulseth has over 18 years of experience in providing consulting services to federal, municipal, State, and private sector clients from technical, project management, and business development perspectives.

Melissa L. Kenerson, TURP

Melissa Kenerson is a Senior Project Manager in GZA’s Metro Boston office.  Ms. Kenerson specializes in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Regulatory Compliance and has worked with many clients to development and implement their EHS programs, including coordinating GZA staff working on-site to support client’s staff.  Mr.

Maryann H. Sapanara

Ms. Sapanara is a Senior Project Manager in the Remediation Group with a background in environmental engineering.  She has managed a wide variety of site investigation and remediation projects.  Her experience on remedial projects includes developing conceptual site models, performing feasibility studies, preparing remedial cost estimates, and the design, implementation, and operation of remediation systems.

Gregg McBride, LSP

Mr. McBride has 30 years of experience in consulting and research as an environmental scientist specializing in the impact of contaminants in the environment.  Primarily serving industrial and utility clients, he directs projects in the areas of ecological and public health risk assessment, regulatory compliance and permitting, and environmental investigations of subsurface soil and groundwater and surface water.  He also manages industrial hygiene and safety.

S. Michele Simoneaux, PWS, CESSWI

Ms. Simoneaux is an Ecologist with a specialization in wetlands science, regulations and permitting.  She holds a Master’s Degree in Conservation Biology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Studies.  She is an experienced wetlands scientist with a track record of successfully obtaining permits on behalf of clients, including Order of Conditions, Water Quality Certifications, NPDES permits, Army Corps of Engineers  Permits, Massachusetts Environmental Policy Act (MEPA) authorizations and permits through the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (RIDEM).

Bruce W. Fairless, P.E., LEED AP

Mr. Fairless has over 30 years of experience in geotechnical engineering with an emphasis on multi-story buildings, and more recently solar projects and geothermal. His geotechnical experience includes design and construction of shallow and deep foundations (including caissons, piles and slurry walls); sheet pile, slurry wall and soldier pile/lagging earth support systems, and bedrock blasting and major earthwork projects. Other experience includes subsurface geotechnical investigations and geotechnical instrumentation.

Hande McCaw, P.E.

Ms. Hande McCaw provides beach and shoreline transformation and restoration, storm surge/wave/sediment transport numerical modeling expertise as well as technical modeling support, staff training and project management for GZA’s coastal hydraulics and extreme flooding practice.  Ms. McCaw has worked on numerous feasibility studies and beach management plans for locations in the eastern U.S.
