Michael M. Shaw

Michael Shaw has been with GZA for almost 30 years and is a Senior Principal and Senior Vice President.  He currently serves as a project principal in our Fort Washington, Pennsylvania office and as the technical lead of GZA’s Environmental Site Investigation Practice. He is a former GZA Board member, and previously managed the Norwood, Massachusetts Office and was GZA’s Professional Practice Committee Chair. 

Edward A. Summerly, P.G.

Ed Summerly has been with GZA for over 30 years and is a Principal and Senior Vice President located in the Providence, Rhode Island branch office.  He serves as GZA’s corporate Solid Waste Technical Practice Lead and provides senior management of Solid Waste, and Environmental Investigation and Remediation projects. He is a licensed professional geologist.

Drilling and Completions

Laurel Oil and Gas Corp., a GZA wholly owned company, has provided engineers and well site consultants for drilling, completion, workover, plug and abandon, and producing-well management projects for more than 25 years.

Our well-site supervisors assist with drilling supervision, planning completions and workovers, including recommending downhole and surface equipment, sand control and on-site rig supervision.

Lawrence Feldman, Ph.D., LSP

Larry Feldman has been with GZA for over 35 years, and works primarily out of the firm’s Norwood and Boston offices. For the past 30 years, Dr. Feldman’s work has focused primarily on the assessment, remediation, and redevelopment of brownfield sites contaminated by oil and/or hazardous material, and on providing litigation support in cases involving such sites.  He has provided Licensed Site Professional (LSP) services at over 250 Massachusetts oil and hazardous material disposal sites since 1993, and has been qualified as an expert witness in a number of court cases.

National Ground Water Association (NGWA) Fractured Rock Conference
