NORWOOD MA…ISSUED JUNE 27, 2012… GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc., a leading environmental and geotechnical consulting firm, announces that Chad W. Cox, P.E. has been promoted to Principal at GZA GeoEnvironmental’s Norwood, MA office.

A resident of Brookline, MA, Cox joined GZA in 1998; previously he was with The Benham Group. In addition, he served in Nepal with the Peace Corps for two years as a water supply engineer.

A resident of Tabernacle, NJ, Oberer joined GZA in 1996 and has more than 20 years of experience in environmental site assessment, underground storage tank, hazardous waste, soil and groundwater investigations and remediation.

MANCHESTER, NH…ISSUED JUNE 18, 2012…The Manchester office of GZA GeoEnvironmental Inc. is the recipient of the 2012 Engineering Excellence Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies of New Hampshire (ACEC-NH) in the Building/Technology Systems category for its work on the Beech Street School Sewer and Drain Line Repair project in Manchester, NH.

The award was presented during ceremonies held May 11th at the Grappone Conference Center on Concord, NH.  The luncheon event began with a presentation by New Hampshire Homeland Security Director Chris Pope.

GZA Wins ACEC Engineering Excellence Award for Innovative Preload Program on Veteran's Memorial Bridge Replacement Project - Portland, ME

PORTLAND, ME AND NORWOOD, MA, Issued December 21, 2011….GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc., a leading geotechnical and environmental consulting firm, has received the 2012 Engineering Excellence Special Recognition Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) of Maine for their innovative embankment preload program as part of the Veteran’s Memorial Bridge Replacement Project in Portland and South Portland, Maine.

Pan Mass Challenge

GZA is once again proud to sponsor a team of riders and support volunteers participating in the Pan Mass Challenge (PMC) to raise money to support the Jimmy Fund and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in the fight against cancer. The PMC is a [nearly] 200-mile endurance challenge from Sturbridge to Provincetown, MA. The fundraising event began in 1980 when 36 cyclists first completed this ride across Massachusetts to raise funds for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

Mustard Seed Missions

It’s been nearly a decade since Paul Davis, an environmental scientist with GZA, and his wife Jan made their first trip to Haiti as part of a team devoted to addressing the health and living conditions of the Haitian people. That desire ultimately led to the formation of Mustard Seed Missions (MSM), a non-profit public charity that seeks to serve the poor in Haiti.
