Kathie Cyr is a Principal and co-leader of GZA’s Legal Sector Practice Group. Her professional practice focuses on environmental investigation and remediation of a wide variety of sites and types of contaminants under state and federal regulatory programs, as well as for brownfield redevelopment. She is a Professional Engineer, Professional Geologist and Licensed Environmental Professional with over 35 years of experience, 28 of which have been with GZA. Her degrees include civil engineering, geology and business administration, all from the University of Connecticut.
Kathie works frequently with and for lawyers representing municipalities, developers, industries and other private parties. She has been deposed and testified as both a fact witness and expert witness related to environmental matters in state and federal court. Kathie is a Director and past President of the Environmental Professionals’ Organization of Connecticut, co-Chair of the Connecticut Society of Women Environmental Professionals and past Board member of CREW-CT - the Real Estate Exchange.
