Aidan Lamothe, Son of GZA's David Lamothe, Selected as 2014 March of Dimes Ambassador

Aidan Lamothe, 6-year old son of GZA's David Lamothe, P.E. (Manchester NH office) has been selected as the 2014 Ambassador for the March of Dimes.  His term officially began on January 1, 2014.  GZA is so proud.

Follow their journey:

We have already begun our travels across the United States, starting with the official national media rollout on Fox News on January 24th.  You can watch the interview here:

The official March of Dimes National Ambassador Facebook page from which you can follow our travels can be found at

Below are photos of Jill, Aidan and me and Aidan with the letter notifying him of his selection as Ambassador. Aidan was born at 28 weeks and 5 days, weighing only 3 pounds, and spent seven weeks in neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) at the Elliot Hospital here in Manchester, NH.   Today Aidan is a healthy and adventurous 6-year-old.  After Aidan was discharged from the NICU, Jill and I became active in the New Hampshire Chapter of the March of Dimes. Team Aidan participates in the March for Babies each spring to fundraise for the March of Dimes as our way of giving thanks for Aidan’s positive outcome, raising over $45,000 since we first started in the spring of 2008.

As the National Ambassador family, Aidan, Jill and I will travel across the United States visiting public officials and corporate sponsors, and encouraging people to participate in the March of Dimes’ largest fundraiser, March for Babies. The money raised supports community programs that help moms have healthy, full term pregnancies, and funds research to find answers to the problems that threaten babies’ lives.

It’s going to be an exciting and meaningful spring for our family.  If you would like to donate to or join Team Aidan for the 2014 March for Babies, you can do so by accessing my March for Babies page at\dglamothe
