Deborah Zarta Gier Promoted to Principal

NORWOOD MA…ISSUED July 24th, 2018… GZA Geo-Environmental, Inc., a leading environmental and geotechnical consulting firm, announces that Deborah M. Zarta Gier of Nottingham, New Hampshire has been promoted to Principal in the Bedford, New Hampshire office.

Zarta Gier, with GZA for nine years, has worked as an environmental professional since 1993 with specific skills in natural resources management, planning, and construction compliance support. Her areas of specialization include large scale data collection and management, construction compliance monitoring, stormwater planning and management, surface and groundwater hydrology, regulatory implementation and compliance, and environmental site assessment in the Northeast and Midwest United States.

A graduate of the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Resources Management and Engineering, Zarta Gier is a Certified Natural Resources Manager and a Certified Mediator.

Zarta Gier is a member of the American Institute of Hydrology, American Water Resources Association, Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry, and Society of Wetland Scientists.

She represents the Town of Nottingham on the Southeast Watershed Alliance. She also volunteers with the Nottingham Sports Youth Association and Nottingham School and is a Stream and Lake Sampling Volunteer with New Hampshire’s Volunteer Lake Assessment Program, covering the North River and Pawtuckaway Lake.
