NORWOOD MA…ISSUED July 24th 2018… GZA Geo-Environmental, Inc. (GZA), a leading environmental and geotechnical consulting firm, announces that Kenneth R. Johnston has been promoted to Senior Principal of the firm and District Office Manager (DOM) of the Bedford, New Hampshire office.
As DOM, his responsibilities include overall management and development of the office. He will continue to serve as Chief Administrative Officer and a member of GZA’s Executive Team, as well.
Johnston has been with GZA for 20 years; prior to his current role, Johnston served as GZA’s Director of Risk Management, responsible for risk management, contracts, and real estate and, before that, Vice President of Operations.
Johnston, a resident of Salem, New Hampshire, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Norwich University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Southern New Hampshire University.
He is on the Board of Directors of the GeoProfessional Business Association (GBA), an organization of 260 member-firms which helps geotechnical, environmental, and other geoprofessional companies improve their risk management practices and financial performance. Johnston also serves on the Board of Fellows at the Business & Management School at Norwich University.
An avid bicyclist, he has completed the Pan Mass Challenge for 29 consecutive years, raising $230,000 for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
