Mary Brittain Joins GZA as Environmental Senior Project Manager

SPRINGFIELD, MA AND NORWOOD, MA…ISSUED AUGUST 22, 2018… GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (GZA), a multi-disciplinary, employee-owned firm that focuses on environmental, geotechnical, ecological, water and construction management services, today announced that Mary Brittain of Lee, Massachusetts, has been hired as an Environmental Senior Project Manager in GZA’s Springfield, Massachusetts office.

Ms. Brittain has over 19 years of experience in the environmental consulting field.  She has performed environmental work for individuals, private industry, institutions of higher learning, utilities and municipalities in Massachusetts, Connecticut and New York.  She brings a unique blend of technical and regulatory expertise to GZA.  Her comprehensive experience in environmental site assessment and remediation as well as environmental permitting and compliance will complement and expand the services provided by GZA’s Springfield office. 

Ms. Brittain received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geology from Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts and is licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Hazardous Waste Site Cleanup Professionals as a Licensed Site Professional (LSP).  She is a member of the Licensed Site Professional Association (LSPA) and has been appointed to the Lee Agricultural Commission and the Massachusetts Water Infrastructure Advisory Committee.  She is also a Past District Governor for Lions Clubs International and currently an active member of the Lee Lions Club.
