Rosalie Starvish of GZA Designated as CMS4S™ Rep for MA

SPRINGFIELD, NORWOOD MA…ISSUED MAY 9, 2013… GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc., a leading environmental and geotechnical consulting firm, announces that Rosalie T. Starvish P.E., CMS4S has been designated an Area Representative for Massachusetts by EnviroCert International, Inc. in her capacity as a CMS4S™ (Certified Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System Specialist™).

As an Area Representative, Starvish will represent EnviroCert and its Certification Program at the local level.  EnviroCert International Inc. is recognized internationally as a certification body for professionals in the erosion and sediment control and stormwater quality industries.

The CMS4S™ program and certification was developed by EnviroCert International, Inc. (ECI) per request of several regulated MS4 communities.  The certification is intended for those with experience in and responsibilities for coordination of National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) stormwater quality programs.

A resident of Stafford Springs, CT, Starvish is a Water Resources Engineer/Project Manager operating from the Springfield office of GZA.  Her areas of specialization include surface water resources, stormwater management design, stormwater compliance and permitting, flood control and protection, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and geographic information systems.  She is a licensed professional engineer in MA and CT.

Starvish received a B. S. in Hydrogeology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an M.S. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

She has published articles in numerous industry journals and periodicals.
