GZA GeoEnvironmental names Todd Roberts as Vice President/Associate Principal

GZA has named Todd Roberts as Vice President/Associate Principal in GZA’s Contractor Services Division.  Todd is based in Boulder, Colorado, further expanding GZA’s services in the western US.

A registered professional geologist in Wyoming, Roberts has more than 20 years of experience in instrumentation, geotechnical engineering, geological modeling and hazard mitigation, and packaging of digital solutions. Roberts has developed a wide variety of instrumentation solutions to support the successful completion of hundreds of projects in the infrastructure, utility, mining, dam, energy, geohazards, and structural health monitoring sectors across the world.

In his new role, Roberts will support GZA professionals in offices throughout the country in delivering end-to-end monitoring and Internet of Things (IoT) solutions for clients in transportation, water, environmental, mining, energy, and geostructural applications.  

GZA President and CEO Patrick Sheehan said: “Todd’s deep understanding of geotechnical and geological engineering, along with his decades of experience in delivering complex and innovative instrumentation solutions for a diverse array of clients, make him a great addition to our team.  We are excited to have him lead the expansion of GZA in the western US.’’

Roberts earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from Denison University and master’s degree in Geology from the University of Cincinnati. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Geological Society of America, and Association of Environmental and Engineering Geologists.
