FORT WASHINGTON, PA AND NORWOOD MA…ISSUED JUNE 25, 2012… GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc., a leading environmental and geotechnical consulting firm, announces that John J. Oberer, LSRP has been promoted to Associate Principal at GZA GeoEnvironmental’s Fort Washington, PA office.
A resident of Tabernacle, NJ, Oberer joined GZA in 1996 and has more than 20 years of experience in environmental site assessment, underground storage tank, hazardous waste, soil and groundwater investigations and remediation.
Oberer, who prior to his recent promotion was a Senior Project Manager with GZA, holds a B.S. in Chemistry from Carnegie-Mellon University and completed graduate studies in Environmental Engineering and Environmental Science from Stevens Institute of Technology and New Jersey Institute of Technology, respectively.
Oberer is a founding member of the New Jersey Licensed Site Remediation Professionals Association (LSRPA); he has served on its Board of Trustees for the past three years and presently is Secretary of the organization. In addition, Oberer serves on the NJDEP Interested Party Steering Committee and is a member of the National Groundwater Association and the American Chemical Society.
