Matt Taylor and John DeLano win the BSCES HERZOG AWARD


NORWOOD MA…ISSUED MAY 10, 2013… GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc., a leading environmental and geotechnical consulting firm, proudly announces that Matthew Taylor and John DeLano of the company’s Norwood office have won this year’s Ernest Herzog Technical Paper Award from the Boston Society of Civil Engineers Section (BSCES).

Taylor and DeLano, Senior Project Managers with GZA, accepted the award and presented their paper entitled “The Rehabilitation of Otis Reservoir Dam: Improving Cost Effectiveness by Including Bridge Replacement” at the BSCES Ralph Salvucci Online Bridge Contest and Ernest Herzog Technical Paper Award Dinner held May 9th at the Sheraton Needham.

The Ernest A. Herzog Award is named in honor of the nationally recognized civil engineer who served a term as president of the Boston Society of Civil Engineers Section and was a fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers.  In memory of his commendable career achievements, the Ernest A. Herzog Award was established to promote an awareness of and to recognize innovative improvements to infrastructure.
