Staff from Huff & Huff (Chicago) attended the 2015 ACEC of Illinois Engineering Excellence Awards Lunch on February 6 to receive the Engineering Excellence Honor Award for their work on the Route 47 "Green" Interchange at I-90.
From an article in the Chicago Tribune: The first "environmentally friendly" interchange on the Tollway system, it features a geothermal water piping system to heat and cool nearby plaza buildings and permeable asphalt paving to allow water to seep through and reduce storm water runoff, officials said.
