As part of a habitat restoration project sponsored by Save the Sound and Connecticut Fund for the Environment, several volunteers, including several GZA staff members, planted native plants and shrubbery along the Pequonnock River banks in Glenwood Park, located in Bridgeport, CT,  surrounding the new fishway to filter runoff from the nearby roadway as well as provide a more desirable habitat.  Save the Sound recently constructed a new fishway on the river for migratory fish to swim up, to get to their spawning habitat.
