$15 Million Available for Clean Air Projects in Connecticut

The State of Connecticut has announced that $15 million in grants will be made available through Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) for projects that reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions. Applications are due June 11th, 2026.

Eligibility determinations will be consistent with Connecticut’s Beneficiary Mitigation Plan and limited by the Environmental Mitigation Trust Agreement for State Beneficiaries. Examples include:

  • School Buses (Class 4-8)
  • Medium- and Heavy-Duty Trucks and Transit Buses
  • Non-Road Equipment (airport ground support equipment, forklifts, etc.)
  • Ports and Marine Equipment
  • Locomotives
