GZA’s Victoria Whelan elected to board of New York State Council of Professional Geologists

GZA announced today that associate principal Victoria Russo Whelan has been elected to serve as a Director of the New York State Council of Professional Geologists (NYSCPG).
NYSCPG is the principal organization of professional geologists responsible for the advancement of the competent and ethical practice of geology in New York State. NYSCPG provides leadership, advocacy, and education to promote the protection of public health, safety, and welfare, and the balanced protection of the environment.
Victoria is a Certified Professional Geologist and Qualified Environmental Professional with nearly 20 years of experience in environmental assessment. She has performed and managed field investigations and remedial activities at numerous sites on Long Island and throughout the Metro New York area, including projects with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation’s Brownfield and Voluntary Cleanup Program, the New York City Office of Environmental Remediation, the New York City Department of Environmental Protection, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
