Up to $200,000 Available for Ecological Projects from Renewable Natural Resources Foundation Grant Program

The Renewable Natural Resources Foundation is accepting applications for its grants through September 30th , 2025. There are three types of projects that will receive different levels of funding:
- Up to $50,000 per award for “rapid response” to projects that have lost federal funding.
- Up to $50,000 per award for planning and small projects
- Up to $200,000 per award for projects that support the implementation of research and evidence-based practices and encourage collaboration
Entities that can apply include:
- 501(c)3 organizations incorporated in the United States or its territories
- Tax-exempt institutions of higher education in the United States or its territories
- Federally recognized tribal governments or tribal colleges
All grant-funded activities must begin between 1/1/2026 and 3/1/2026 and must address at least one of the following focus areas:
- Air Quality & Atmospheric Sciences
- Ecosystem and Biodiversity Conservation
- Ecosystem, Soil, and Land Remediation
- Recycling, Circular Materials and Waste Systems
- Regenerative Agriculture and Soil Health
- Renewable Energy and Sustainable Infrastructure
- Water Quantity and Quality
