GZA appoints Benjamin Verburg, P.E., as Associate Principal Environmental Engineer/Vice President

GZA has named Benjamin Verburg, P.E., as Associate Principal Environmental Engineer/Vice President, based in GZA’s office in Brookfield, WI, outside of Milwaukee.

As a registered professional engineer in Wisconsin, Verburg has more than 30 years of experience as a lead engineer, client manager, and technical advisor on a range of environmental, infrastructure, and brownfield redevelopment projects involving established and emerging contaminants. He has served clients and legal counsel in the automotive, chemical, energy, government, rail, and real estate sectors addressing per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), volatile and semi-volatile organic compounds (VOCs and SVOCs), metals, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), and other hazardous compounds. Verburg also has served as the Engineer of Record on the largest PFAS remediation project in Wisconsin, and developed and permitted the remedy in coordination with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR).
