GZA Names Andrew Blaisdell, P.E., G.E. as District Office Manager in South Portland, ME

GZA is pleased to announce the promotion of Andrew Blaisdell, P.E., G.E. to District Office Manager of the firm’s South Portland, Maine office. 
In his new role, Blaisdell will focus on the strength of GZA’s South Portland office, mentoring staff, and continuing to deliver trusted engineering and science solutions to clients throughout the region. He will lead the technical, business development, and administrative responsibilities for the office. He will also remain heavily involved in all his project work.

GZA President and CEO said: “Andy is an outstanding geotechnical engineer and leader in the Maine engineering and science consulting community.  His transition into the District Office Manager role in our South Portland office has been long planned, and he will undoubtedly excel at leading that strong team and further expanding our ability to serve the Maine market and beyond.”

Blaisdell has more than 24 years of experience in geotechnical, seismic, infrastructure, and rock slope engineering and has managed complex projects for public and private clients throughout Maine and the Northeast, with extensive experience supporting MaineDOT and other regional agencies. 

A licensed Professional Engineer in Maine and nine additional states, and a licensed Geotechnical Engineer in California, Blaisdell holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Clarkson University and an M.S. in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
