GZA names Christina Szczepanski as Senior Planning Consultant serving NY/NJ/CT market

GZA has named Christina Szczepanski as Senior Planning Consultant.

Kevin Williams, GZA Associate Principal and Planning Practice Chair, said: “We are excited to have Christina join our team, as she is one of the most experienced environmental planners in New York City, with over 20 years’ stewarding clients’ land development projects through complex City, State, and Federal environmental processes. Her technical acumen will help us to better serve our clients throughout New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.”

In her career as a senior environmental planner and project manager at other engineering and planning firms, Szczepanski has led the creation of multiple New York City and New York State Environmental Quality Review Statements (CEQR and SEQR), National Environmental Policy Act Environmental Assessments (NEPA), Critical Issues Assessments, and other major studies and analyses for energy, transportation, private development, and government clients. She will be based in GZA’s New York (Manhattan) and Fairfield offices.

Szczepanski earned dual bachelors’ degrees in Environmental Studies and Geography (Concentration in Urban Planning) from Binghamton University and a master’s in Urban Planning from Columbia University. She is an American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) Certified Planner and member of the American Planning Association.
