GZA names Christopher Tansey as District Office Manager in South Bound Brook, N.J.

GZA GeoEnvironmental Inc. (GZA), a leading multi-disciplinary firm providing geotechnical, environmental, ecological, water, and construction management services, has named Vice President/Associate Principal Christopher Tansey to lead the company’s services in the Central New Jersey market as District Office Manager of GZA’s South Bound Brook office.

A registered professional engineer, and specialist in geotechnical, soils, and foundation engineering, Tansey has more than 20 years of diversified experience in geotechnical site investigations, engineering, and construction management for residential, commercial, and educational projects throughout New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut, including mid- and high-rise structures and design of foundations, retaining walls, ground improvement techniques, and stormwater management facilities. 

Projects that Tansey has led include work for AT&T, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Kean University, Montclair State University, National Realty & Development Corp., Prologis/Port Newark-Elizabeth Marine Terminal, PSE&G, Pulte Group, Rider University, Sanofi Aventis, and Toys-R-Us.

Tansey earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from West Virginia University. Chris joined GZA through its 2018 acquisition of Melick-Tully & Associates.
