Offshore Wind

With a rare combination of geotechnical, coastal, structural, and environmental experience in support of the design, permitting, and construction of marine facilities, GZA is solidly positioned to perform engineering and environmental services for offshore wind projects, including offshore wind turbines, transmission lines, and ancillary structures. Our services include developing and executing an appropriate geotechnical and geophysical investigation program, procurement and management of drilling subcontractors and exploration vessels, scour analysis, development of geotechnical engineering design parameters, and pile capacity.

GZA routinely partners with  offshore exploration and drillings firms that  provide us with high quality offshore drilling capabilities, sampling tools, and the experience necessary to complete these complex and dynamic types of projects.  Offshore projects are costly investments and should only be completed by a team that understands, through hands-on experience, the technical and logistical issues that can often occur and have the capabilities to address problems with minimal disruption to the operation.
